[edit] Features

Live boot, but installable: You can boot DANIX from CD, DVD or USB flastdisk without need for installation. Most common hardware is well autodetected. If you will like it, you can install it into harddisk and enjoy it running faster.

DANIX modules: while booting from CD/DVD, you can store all changes (settings, data, installation of more software). By using storage module the system become acting almost as normal installation, all changes will be pernament. They will not get lost after reboot

Create your own version: Create your own version. Just add your custom module to a DVD or other device and it just works. You can have your personal distro containing your own set of applications, design and data. If your module on your device will support readwrite access (usb flashdisk, harddisk), you can store your work into it, so you have a system similar to installed one.

Friendly License terms License terms are very friendly towards endusers. Software is very cheap and there is not warrranty, to the extent of applicable laws. Commercial support is available.

Debian based: DANIX is based on Debian GNU/Linux and aims to keep greatest possible level of compatibility with Debian in all aspects.
