Midori is a lightweight web browser which uses the Webkit engine to render pages. It is the XFCE default web-browser. Unike Firefox and IE9, Midori passes the Acid3 test for web browsers.

Midori is very minimalist, similar in that respect to Chromium. For a minimalist browser, Midori has many features, some which are lacking in Chromium such as the ability to customize the toolbar. Midori is the default browser in elementary OS.  Websites most often detect Midori as Safari on Mac OS X. This is because Midori uses the Webkit rendering engine. Midori requires the flash plug-in to play videos on YouTube and other websites that use Adobe's player.
